Couples, Family, and Relationship Therapy
Relationship therapy is therapy that includes the therapist and two or more people who are having difficulty in their relationship(s) with one another. The goal of relationship therapy is often learning how to communicate and interact more effectively with the other person/people to improve the overall relationship. While most people typically think of relationship or couples therapy as something for people in a romantic relationship/partnership, this model of therapy can be useful for families, friends, roommates, and coworkers wanting to improve their platonic or familial relationships as well.
All relationships are a bit different. At Wellness Therapy we do not believe that a traditional coupling or nuclear family is the only type that exists. Our resident couple’s and family therapy expert, Xennia Dorr, LMFT has experience working with clients who are part of various types of romantic (and platonic) relationships and blended families.
